Microtonal music

My approach to microtonality is not especially complex or philosophical.

I find a tempered, 24-note octave to be pragmatic for the same reason that most Western composers of the past several centuries have found the 12-note, tempered octave to be useful. But it opens up the possibility of many new sonorities, my favorite being the triad with a third that is sharper than a minor third but flatter than a major third.
